Waterproof work trousers vs showerproof trousers
Showerproof means that the product's outer fabric can keep out light rain. For example, a showerproof jacket is typically treated with DWR (a Durable Water Repellent) to make water roll right off. However, since showerproof clothing does not have taped internal seams, it won't provide much protection against heavy or long-lasting rain- which is pretty common in Britain!
